Installation Procedures

  • Drywall Installation: We install grab bars using studs only on drywall, ensuring maximum stability and safety.

  • Tile Installation: We use a combination of studs and anchors for tile installations. This approach ensures that the grab bars are securely attached and provide reliable support.

  • ADA Guidelines: Whenever possible, we follow the guidelines set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure accessibility and compliance.

 

Liability and Warranty

  • Professional Installation: Our installations are performed by trained professionals who follow all recommended safety protocols. However, SteadyBars.com is not liable for any damage to property or injury resulting from the improper use of installed grab bars or alterations made by the customer post-installation.

  • Product Warranty: We offer a lifetime warranty on the grab bars.

  • Installation Warranty: We offer a lifetime warranty on our installation services. If any problems arise due to installation errors within this period, we will rectify them at no additional cost.

 

Customer Responsibilities

  • Pre-Installation: Customers are responsible for ensuring the installation area is accessible and free from obstacles. If the installation requires moving furniture or other items, this must be done before our arrival.

  • Post-Installation: Customers should regularly inspect the grab bars to ensure they remain securely fastened. Any wear, damage, or instability signs should be reported to SteadyBars.com immediately.

 

Limitations and Exclusions

  • Non-Standard Installations: Our standard installation procedures apply only to drywall and tile as specified. Installations on other surfaces or in non-standard conditions may require additional assessment and potential modifications to our standard procedures.

  • Modifications and Repairs: Any modifications or repairs made by the customer or third parties to the installed grab bars void the installation warranty. SteadyBars.com is not responsible for any issues arising from unauthorized modifications or repairs.

  • Force Majeure: SteadyBars.com shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is as a result of Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or another natural disaster), war, invasion, the act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout, or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

 

Legal Disclaimer

  • Compliance with Local Codes: While we follow ADA guidelines where possible, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation complies with local building codes or regulations. SteadyBars.com disclaims any liability for compliance with local codes, except where expressly required by law.

  • Limitation of Liability: SteadyBars.com's liability is limited to the cost of the installation services provided. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the installed grab bars. Our maximum liability for any reason shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the installation services.

  • Indemnification: The customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SteadyBars.com, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and subcontractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with the installation services provided, including but not limited to claims for personal injury or property damage, except to the extent such claims are caused by SteadyBars.com's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

 

Additional Policies on Accidental Damage During Installation

Immediate Notification

  • Prompt Communication: If a tile cracks during installation, our installer will inform you immediately. We prioritize transparency and will provide a full explanation of the incident.

 

Repair or Replacement Options

  • Sourcing Tiles: If no matching tiles are available on-site, we will assist you in locating a suitable replacement tile.

  • Compensation:

    • Discount Offer: If an immediate replacement is not possible, we will offer a discount on the installation fee as compensation for the inconvenience.

    • Repair Costs: We will cover repairing or replacing the damaged tile, ensuring your satisfaction with our service.

 

Insurance and Liability

  • Insurance Coverage: SteadyBars.com maintains comprehensive insurance to cover accidental damage to your property. This helps cover the costs of repairs or replacements if necessary.

 

Preventive Measures

  • Procedure Review: Following an incident, we will review our installation procedures to understand how the damage occurred. We will implement any necessary changes to prevent similar incidents in the future. This may include:

    • Using Less Force: Adjusting the amount of force used when drilling.

    • Checking Tile Conditions: Assessing the condition of tiles before starting the installation.

    • Utilizing Proper Tools: Ensuring the use of appropriate drill bits and tools for tile installations.

 

Documentation

  • Incident Report: We will document the incident thoroughly, including photographs and a detailed description of the steps taken to resolve the issue. This documentation will be helpful in customer relations and in determining any potential insurance claims.
