CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Keeping grab bars clean is simple and essential for maintaining their appearance and ensuring a sanitary environment. Follow these steps to clean and maintain the look of stainless steel grab bars:

1. Removing Dirt & Grime: Use a soft cloth to wash all surfaces with a mild dishwashing liquid soap or powdered detergent, ammonia, and warm water. Rinse with clear water, wipe with a damp sponge, and dry.

2. Removing Smears & Fingerprints: Use Arcal 20, Lac-O-Nu, Lumin Wash, O’Cedar Cream Polish, or Stainless Shine. Follow the package directions, rubbing the surface with a cloth.

3. Removing Rust: Refer to our specific instructions on removing rust from grab bars for rust removal.

 

Important Note on Cleaning Agents

Avoid harsh chemicals on stainless steel grab bars, which can cause permanent damage. If muriatic acid or similar hydrochloric acid-type cleaners are used, they must be immediately neutralized and scrubbed with clean water.

Do Not Use the Following Agents on Stainless Steel Grab Bars:

​​

• Abrasive powders or scouring pads

• Toilet bowl cleaners

• Ceramic tile cleaners

• Solutions containing aggressive acid, such as Lime-A-Way, Soft Scrub, Tilex, etc.
